Issue #1 was put together as a half size zine on a whim in December of 1990. Grog did most of the writing and layout, Fen corrected his lame spelling and grammer, Eric and Brian Donut did artwork and the cover logo and Gail did her first installment of Deadbeat Corner.

MRZ #1 was a 16 page half sized zine done on various copy machines. Included are an interview with Aunt Beanies First Prize Beats, Deadbeat Corner with Chris Pospisil, various stolen articles about the NEA and SubGenius, plus many drawings, cartoons and other stuff.
